Revenue sadassus from Friday in Nandyal, Kurnool and Anantapur districts


The stage is set for the conduct of Revenue Sadassus in Nandyal, Anantapur and Nandyal districts from December 6 (Friday) to January 8, 2024.

Nandyal District Collector Rajakumari Gania said the sadassus are being organised at the villages to resolve the land disputes at the village-level itself. Ms. Rajakumari Gania said farmers can submit representations for redressal of disputes related to Sections, 22A lands, encroachments and freehold lands.

The Collector said a special deputy collector rank officer would preside over the sadassu at the Assembly constituency level while a district level officer will act as presiding officer at the mandal level. The Collector and Joint Collector will participate in a revenue sadassu in every Assembly constituency. The JC will coordinate the meetings.

Ms. Rajakumari Gania said the petitions received through the revenue sadassus will be uploaded online in the special window in the Grievance Redressal Portal of the Real Tine Governance Society (RTGS). Acknowledgement will be given to each petition received from the farmers and steps would be taken to resolve the complaint within 45 days. Orders would also be released for every complaint resolved.

The Nandyal District Collector said if re-survey was conducted in any village, the new Records of Lands (RoR) will be read out before the villagers and any petitions raising objections over the same will also be accepted. The Collector asked officials to give wide publicity about the time and place of revenue sadassus.

Kurnool District Collector P. Ranjit Basha said the revenue sadassus will be conducted in 672 villages in the district and a schedule has been prepared for the same. Teams have been constituted with tehsildar, revenue inspector, village revenue officers, mandal surveyor and officials of Endowment, Wakf Board, Registration and Forest departments and they will tour villages and receive petitions. Mr. Basha asked officials to conduct field visits, if necessary and resolve the complaints.

The revenue sadassus will be conducted for a full day in a major villages and half day in a smaller village. He asked officials to keep with them the old land records, RoRs and others for ready reference and resolving the complaints immediately. The Collector also asked officials to take blank application forms to the villages for the benefit of farmers to lodge a complaint.

Kurnool District Collector wanted officials to conduct the sadassu at the villages where re-survey was conducted already.

Anantapur Joint Collector Shiv Narayan Sharma said the revenue sadassus will be held in the 503 revenue villages in the 32 mandals of three revenue divisions of the district.
