Telangana Police emerged as an Overall Team Champion by delivering an outstanding performance at the 68th All India Police Duty Meet (AIPDM) held in Ranchi, Jharkhand, from February 10 to 15, securing a total of 18 medals across various categories.
The Telangana contingent won six gold, four silver, and eight bronze medals, excelling in events such as Scientific Aids to Investigation, Anti-Sabotage Check, Computer Awareness, and the Dog Squad Competition. This achievement follows the State-level Police Duty Meet held in Hyderabad in October 2024, where the best performers were selected to compete at the national level.
Several other States also showcased impressive performances. Andhra Pradesh secured a total of seven medals, including four gold. Tamil Nadu followed with five medals, winning two gold and three silver.
Karnataka bagged three medals, while Maharashtra claimed three as well, with one gold, one silver, and one bronze. Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand also won medals in various categories, reflecting strong competition among the participating States and forces.
Director General, CID, Telangana, and Nodal Officer for the Telangana Police Duty Meet, Shikha Goel expressed immense pride in the team’s success, attributing it to their dedication, rigorous training, and commitment to duty.
The Overall Team Championship Trophy was received on behalf of Telangana Police by team manager B. Ram Reddy during the presentation ceremony, which was attended by Jharkhand’s Finance Minister, Sports Minister, Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, and other senior officials.
Director General of Police, Telangana, Jitender congratulated the participants, trainers, and support staff, stating that their performance reflects the State’s pursuit of excellence and integrity in service.
