Suryapet: Traffic restrictions will be in place for vehicles traveling from Hyderabad to Vijayawada national highway 65 from Sunday evening in view of the Pedda Gattu Lingamanthula Swamy festival at Duraj Palli. The festival is expected to draw lakhs of devotees over the next five days. The festival will conclude on February 20. To manage the heavy pilgrim rush and ensure their safety, administration has implemented traffic diversions on National Highway 65 from Hyderabad to Vijayawada.
The vehicular traffic is redirected through different alternative routes. The diversion plan includes the routes via Narketpally, Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Huzur Nagar, and Kodad. These measures aim to address congestion on the main highway and facilitate hassle free movement for both pilgrims and regular commuters, said officials.
