Chhaava Day 2 box office collection: Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika mandanna‘s period drama Chhaavadirected by Laxman Utekar, carried high expectations since its announcement. The film was anticipated to break Bollywood’s dry spell at the box office, and it seems to be doing just that. Following an impressive opening of Rs 31 crore, the film saw even greater momentum on its second day. According to Sacnilk, the Maddock Films production earned Rs 36.5 crore on Saturday, bringing its total collection to Rs 67.5 crore in just two days.
Chhaava has proven to be Vicky Kaushal’s biggest box office opener as compared to his last six films. The actor has also received immense appreciation for his role as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
The overall occupancy for Chhaava on Day 2 was 50.39 percent. Pune had the highest occupancy of 89.25 percent with 704 shows, in Mumbai the film’s occupancy was 74.75 percent with 1372 shows. Chhaava experienced higher occupancy rates in Hyderabad and Chennai compared to Delhi-NCR. In Hyderabad, the film’s occupancy was 61.25 percent with 313 shows, while in Chennai the occupancy was 59.75 percent with 89 shows. In Delhi-NCR Chhaava had an occupancy of 36.75 percent with 1321 shows. Overall, Chhaava had 6407 shows running in India.
The movie, which opened to mixed reviews, also stars Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya dutta in important roles.
