First instalment for Indiramma Houses after completion of basement, Housing Corporation MD

Telangana government aims to complete construction of the Indiramma Houses up to basement level before March 31. The first instalment of the ₹5 lakh financial assistance for the house construction would be released after completion of the basement — the first phase of the house construction, said Telangana State Housing Corporation Limited’s managing director V.P. Gautham.

The official along with Wanaparthy district collector Adarsh Surabhi and other officials checked the houses under construction in the district on Monday. Mr. Gautham said that the amount will be deposited in the beneficiaries’ accounts and asked them not to rely on middlemen. The ₹5 lakh would be deposited in four instalments altogether.

He urged beneficiaries, who have been granted Indiramma House through Gram Sabhas, to begin construction of homes immediately following regulations. They don’t have to follow any particular design and can construct as they wish in 400 square feet.

Mandal Parishad Development Officer (MPDO) were directed to instruct Panchayat Secretaries to send photos of every stage of the house construction through mobile app. The MPDOs should super check the photos.

The district collector asked the beneficiaries not to worry about sand for the construction of Indiramma Houses. It would be supplied from the nearest reach after getting MROs permission. Beneficiaries have to bear the transportation charges.
