Hyderabad: A Physics Experiments Workshop was conducted by the Department of Physics at Stanley College of Engineering and Technology for Women here on Monday.
Dr Padma Sri, Head of the Department of Physics, emphasised the significant role of physics and electronics in everyday life and highlighted that the workshop aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts taught in classrooms and their practical applications in technological advancements.
Prof Gopal Reddy, retired Vice-Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi University, spoke on the crucial role of physics in daily life and explained how physics helps us understand natural laws and simplifies modern life.
VVV Satyanarayana, Inter-University Accelerator Center, IUAC, New Delhi, highlighted that science education in schools and colleges is often confined to examinations, making it difficult for students to grasp concepts experientially.
The event was attended by College Secretary & Correspondent K Krishna Rao, Management Member R Pradeep Reddy, Administration Officer A Ramesh, Workshop co-conveners JP Pramod, Dr P Anusha, Shravani, faculty members, and students.
