
Once a star-studded film lands on an OTT platform, it becomes the responsibility of the streaming service to promote it. However, the way they handle the promotion often varies.
If the film is a blockbuster, their job is easy, but when a movie is a theatrical flop, OTT platforms sometimes resort to gimmicks that irritate fans.

A prime example of this is Ram Charan’s Game Changer, whose digital rights were sold to Amazon Prime Video even before the film’s release. After the movie premiered on the platform, Prime Video attempted to promote it on social media with a humorous edit.
The scene in question depicts Ram Charan’s character removing corrupt officials and replacing them with honest ones. However, Prime Video added a funny sound effect to make it comical, despite it being a serious moment in the film.

This move did not sit well with Mega fans, who saw it as a cheap publicity stunt rather than a genuine promotional effort. Many took to social media to express their anger, accusing Prime Video of mocking Ram Charan’s film and hurting fan sentiments.
However, haters feel Amazon Prime is better at trolling Game Changer than even professional trolls. Many now believe that Prime Video bought the film just to mock and roast it!
