Karan Johar has recently opened up on how a director like S.S. Rajamouli has managed to deliver such big blockbusters over the years as he appeared for an interview with Komal Nahta.
While speaking to the popular film critic and trade analyst, Karan said that Rajamouli is one of those who believes in his work due to which his films have worked at the box office and the same also applies to directors such as Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Anil Sharma.

Karan said that Rajamouli’s films do not have any logic but audiences can see only conviction, and when that comes in front of everyone, the audience eventually believes the director. Karan mentioned that conviction is also the particular factor that has led to the success of films like Animal, RRR, and Gadar 2.
Karan gave an example of Gadar 2, referring to the moment where Sunny Deol uses a handpump to fight thousands of people, and said that Anil Sharma knew that Sunny has the capability of doing that and audiences would also believe the moment only if Sunny performed it on screen.

Karan continued by saying that there have been situations where directors end up thinking about how the audience would respond to certain scenes, keeping the concept of logic in their minds. He said that such things won’t help a film to work and that conviction has to be an important part of any film.
Karan and Rajamouli have shared a close relationship over the years, specifically after the former served as a producer for the Hindi version of the Baahubali franchise.

While the duo did not collaborate for another time, it remains to be seen if Rajamouli’s next big project, SSMB29, featuring Mahesh Babu, will be produced by Karan. However, an official update is awaited on whether SSMB29 will be released in Hindi.
