VIKARABAD: Tension prevailed at Kalkacharla in the district on Thursday following the suspicious death of a student in a Tribal Hostel for Boys.
The tenth standard student had his dinner last night and when his friends tried to wake him up on Thursday morning, he did not wake up.
Immediately, the hostel staff shifted the boy to the Government Hospital at Parigi.
The doctors declared that the boy had passed away a few hours before being brought to the hospital, according to reports.
After learning about their ward’s death, the parents and relatives turned up at the hostel. Holding the hostel staff responsible for the student’s death, they even tried to attack the staff members.
Sensing trouble, the police arrived at the hostel and brought the situation under control. Amidst police security, the postmortem was being conducted, the reports said.
