Vijayawada: In a major infrastructure overhaul in the city, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) in collaboration with railway authorities prepared detailed project reports (DPRs) for the construction of around four new railway-over-bridges (ROBs) and railway-under-bridges (RUBs) in different areas here.
The four new RUB/ROB structures have been proposed at Pappula Mill in the Madhura Nagar area, New RR Pet, and Gunadala, including one ROB near VMC employees’ quarters. Of the four proposed structures, the civic body and the railways have finalised DPRs for the construction of three ROBs and one RUB.
