Dangerous stunts being performed on busy roads have become a regular sight; be it drifting cars on highways or pulling off risky tricks in the middle of traffic, young people performing .
Recently in Hyderabad, CCTV footage captured two luxury SUVs — a Fortuner and a BMW — engaged in wild stunts on the Outer Ring Road (ORR), one of the busiest stretches in the city. The Fortuner was seen doing donuts—spinning in tight circles using the handbrake — while the BMW stopped after a similar stunt. The drivers were aware of the risks involved in the act, as they had even removed the number plates from their vehicles before carrying out these reckless moves.
Thanks to CCTV cameras installed along the ORR, the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police were able to trace the vehicles and track down the drivers. On February 17, they arrested Mohammed Obaidullah, 25, from Rajendranagar, and Zohair Siddiqui, 25, from Malakpet, both of whom were involved in the stunt. Their luxury cars were also seized.
Journalist Surya Reddy shared the update on his X account. Reddy provided most of the information regarding the incident in the caption of the post.

The post went viral prompting netizens to express their opinions.
A user wrote, “An strict action required to set an example in youngsters to never think of such acts any further.” Another user suggested, “Police should not return the cars now. Just them rust in the station.”
A third user shared a different perspective and wrote, “There should be a safe & secure site, away from the traffic for such drivers who like to do stunts. Lack of such places , make them do them on roads. Every city in the US has such arenas for motor sports. In the UAE, there are several facilities & events organized for daredevils.”

In his post, he expressed concern, writing in Telugu which translates to, “These are some crazy things done in the name of ‘Valentine’s Day’!! Some couples are sharing videos on social media, claiming to perform incredible stunts to celebrate the occasion, as if they’ve achieved something extraordinary. While these high-speed, reckless stunts may seem funny to some, just think about the consequences if an accident were to occur.”
