Samsung indirectly confirms cheaper Galaxy Z Flip FE

According to various sources, Samsung is developing the Galaxy Z Flip FE, a clamshell foldable phone that it will offer at a lower price compared to the ones that it launches every year, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Well, today we finally have a confirmation of its existence.

On Samsung’s server, firmware for a device that the company hasn’t launched yet has popped up. It has the model number SM-F761B. Considering the model number convention the brand uses, it seems to be the Galaxy Z Flip FE. The firmware version is F761BXXU0AYB1.

The letter ‘B’ in Galaxy devices’ model numbers denotes that they are variants for the European market. It means that Galaxy Z Flip FE will be available in Europe. As you can see in the image above, the ‘EUX’ extension further suggests the same thing.

Galaxy Z Flip FE specifications and launch timeframe

A recent report revealed that the Galaxy Z Flip FE will use the same display as the Galaxy Z Flip 6, a 6.7-inch AMOLED unit with HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,600 nits peak brightness, and Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) protection.

Another leak suggests that the upcoming smartphone will feature the Exynos 2400 SoC and offer up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Rumors suggest that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Flip FE in the second half of this year.
