Residents tried to stop the authorities from demolition and heated exchange of words took place between locals and authorities
Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed as authorities took up demolition of alleged illegal structures including some houses at Arundathi Nagar in Jawaharnagar Municipal Corporation on Tuesday.
The authorities amidst heavy security deployment and teams of police personnel started the demolition and razed down 15 houses.
Tension prevailed as local residents tried to stop the authorities from demolition and heated exchange of words took place between locals and authorities. The residents claimed they were staying in the houses for several years now and demolitions were not right.
The Jawaharnagar police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. Two people were booked for attempting to stop the demolitions.
