Vijayawada:Guntur municipal corporation commissioner Puli Srinivasulu on Wednesday said that the ward secretariat planning secretary and town planning building overseer (TPBO) were suspended and show cause notices issued to TPS, ACP, DCP and city planners for showing negligence in their duties.
He explained that despite issuing a work stop order notice for the construction work of Green Grace Apartment in Guntur city, the local ward secretariat planning secretary and TPBOs failed to implement the order. Hence the duo were suspended and show cause notices issued to TPS, ACP, DCP and city planners due to lack of supervision in the assigned duties.
Puli Srinivasulu said that the local ward secretariat planning secretary Ch. Jaganmohan Rao and TPBO K. Nikhil Vamsheela were suspended from duty for negligence in their assigned duties.
Show cause notices have been issued to the supervising officers TPS Satyanarayana, ACP Rehman, DCP Suraj Kumar and CP Rambabu. He further said that legal action would be taken against the building owner who took up the work even after receiving the work-stop order notices.
The GMC commissioner said that the GMC has issued a work stop order notice for the construction of the Green Grace Apartment on the local Pattabhipuram Main Road and has ordered the local town planning officers to implement the order.
He stated that a committee was formed under the aegis of the GMC additional commissioner based on the complaints received that the work was being carried out internally. He further stated that the committee’s preliminary report, after its field inspection on Tuesday, confirmed that the work was carried out even after receiving the work stop order notice.
