The Kia Carens is one of the most sensible offerings in its segment. This is why it crossed 200,000 sales milestone in the domestic market since its launch in February, 2022. The compact MPV achieved the first 100,000 sales mark in 16 months of its market arrival and the next 100,000 units in 14 months. Aiming to further improve its sales, the South Korean automaker is set to give it a major mid-life update this year. While the official launch date of the 2025 Kia Carens facelift is yet to be announced, the updated model is likely to hit roads by month of August.

New Kia Carens – What to expect?
The latest spy images of the new Kia Carens show its heavily revised front fascia, featuring the EV5 inspired lighting setup. It carries triangular-shaped headlamps with starmap LED elements. While the blacked-out A, B and C pillars, door handles, body cladding and door side moulding remain unchanged, it gets the newly-designed alloy wheels. The rear profile could be updated with the vertically positioned taillamps connected via LED strip and a redesigned bumper.
Major upgrades are expected to be made inside the cabin. The new 2025 Kia Carens facelift will come with a panoramic sunroof as confirmed by the fresh spy images. Currently, the MPV offers a single-pane sunroof only on the top-end Luxury Plus trim. The ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite and a 360 degree camera might also be the part of the safety kit. The new Kia Carens is expected to borrow the 30-inch Trinity panoramic display from the Syros subcompact SUV. This setup includes three displays – a 12.3-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, a 12-inch LCD instrument cluster and a 5-inch screen for the dually automatic AC control.
The engine-gearbox combinations are likely to be carried forward from the current model. The new 2025 Kia Carens facelift will come with the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol (115PS/144Nm), 1.5L turbo petrol (160PS/253Nm) and 1.5L diesel (116PS/250Nm) engine options. A 6-speed gearbox will be standard, while a 7-speed DCT automatic and a 6-speed automatic transmission will be reserved for the 1.5L turbo petrol and diesel variants, respectively.
