Earlier this year, Samsung showcased the Galaxy S25 Edge. While the phone was present at the Galaxy Unpacked event, where the Galaxy S25 series was announced, no one was allowed to touch it.
We now have some exclusive information about its design.
Galaxy S25 Edge features a ceramic build
The Galaxy S25 Edge’s side frame is made of aluminum (most likely Armor Aluminum), but its back uses ceramic material for better durability.
We still don’t know whether the phone’s back is entirely ceramic or a version of glass with fused ceramic material. Regardless, it appears different than the other Galaxy S25 series phones, which use Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the back. Samsung might have done this to reduce the phone’s weight.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is rumored to be Samsung’s thinnest smartphone. Some reports claim it measures 5.84mm thin, but Samsung has not confirmed that.
Samsung will showcase the Galaxy S25 Edge at MWC 2025 in the first week of March, but we don’t know if people will be allowed to touch or use the device. It will likely be launched in Q2 2025 (most likely April).

The Galaxy S25 Edge features a 6.7-inch screen, similar to the Galaxy S25+. It has a dual-camera setup on the rear, and rumors claim it has a 200MP primary camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera. It likely has a 12MP front-facing camera.
It has already been revealed that the Galaxy S25 Edge is powered by a 3,900mAh battery and has 25W fast charging. It isn’t clear if it features wireless charging, but it would be highly unlikely if it lacks that feature.
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S25 Edge with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 12GB RAM, and 256GB or higher storage. The phone will run Android 15 (One UI 7.0) out of the box.
