In a tragic road accident in Chebrolu mandal, near Narakoduru in Guntur district, three women died and seven others were injured in the early morning of Monday (February 17, 20205.) The accident occurred at around 5.15 a.m. when an auto carrying passengers from Suddapalli village was heading toward Budampadu.
An RTC bus, reportedly in high speed, collided head-on with the auto, resulting in the instant death of three women. The deceased have been identified as Allamsetti Arunakumari, Kurra Namcharamma and Thota Seethararumulu, according to police.

Upon receiving information, Ponnur Rural Circle Inspector Y. Koteswara Rao and Chebrolu sub-inspector D. Venkata Krishna, along with their teams, rushed to the scene. They immediately shifted the injured passengers to the Government General Hospital (GGH) for treatment and sent the bodies of the deceased to the Government Hospital mortuary for post-mortem. The police also took measures to clear traffic congestion at the accident site.
A case has been registered, and a full-scale investigation is under way, Mr. D. Venkata Krishna, who is investigating the case, told The Hindu. Authorities are examining the circumstances leading to the crash to determine further action.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep sorrow over the tragic road accident, in which three agricultural workers lost their lives.
The Chief Minister termed the accident as ‘heartbreaking’, especially as the victims were women traveling for work. He assured financial assistance to the bereaved families and directed officials to provide the best medical care for the injured.
Expressing shock over the incident, the Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar directed district collector S. Nagalakshmi to ensure all support to the victims and ordered a detailed investigation into the accident and submit a report on it.
District in-charge Minister Kandula Durgesh also expressed grief over the incident, stating that the news of three women losing their lives was deeply distressing. He instructed officials and GGH medical staff to ensure quality treatment for the injured. The Minister affirmed that the government would stand by the victims’ families in this difficult time.
