MG M9
JSW MG Motor India unveiled its upcoming M9 luxury MPV at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show in January. It’s an electric MPV, which will be exclusively sold via MG’s new ‘Select’ premium dealership network from the next month. Bookings already been commenced nationwide, while deliveries will start in April. The MG M9 is expected to be priced around Rs 65 lakh (ex-showroom). This electric MPV features a 90kWh lithium-ion battery delivering a claimed WLTP range of 430km on a single charge. It has a front axle mounted electric motor, pushing out a maximum power of 245bhp and 350Nm of torque. The MPV has FWD (front-wheel drive) system.
Similar to its global-spec version (Mifa 9), the MG M9 will measure 5.2 metres in length and come with the 7 and 8-seats configurations. Some of its key features include two sunroofs, powered rear sliding doors, powered front and rear seats with heating, ventilation, massage functions, fold-out ottoman seats, rear entertainment screens, Level 2 ADAS and more.
Kia Carnival Hi Limousine
Kia India showcased the more luxurious iteration of the Carnival at the 2025 Auto Expo. Called the Kia Carnival Hi Limousine, the premium MPV was displayed to gauge customer response. Its India launch is still under consideration; however, some media reports state that this luxurious variant of the Carnival will soon hit Indian roads. Powering the Kia Carnival Hi Limousine is a 3.5L Smartstream V6 petrol engine paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The gasoline unit delivers a maximum power of 290bhp and 355Nm of torque.
The Kia Carnival Hi Limousine comes with 4-seats layout offering ample space and adjustment options. It has two large “premium captain’s chairs” with an extended leg support, Nappa leather upholstery and a 3D quilted design. This premium MPV offers a large 21.5-inch LED TV mounted on the roof behind the front row, heated/cooled cup holders, wireless charging pads and several high-end features.
