After the formation of the BJP government in Delhi, the name of Rekha Gupta, an MLA from Shalimar Bagh, has been elected for the post of CM. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami congratulated Rekha Gupta. Rekha Gupta will be the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi and she will take oath as CM on Thursday.

Rekha Gupta has been congratulated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Rekha Gupta.

CM Yogi wrote on the social media platform X, ‘Hearty congratulations and best wishes to Mrs. Rekha Gupta on being elected the leader of Delhi BJP Legislature Party’. At the same time, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami wrote on Facebook post, ‘Hearty congratulations and best wishes to Mrs. Rekha Gupta on being elected the leader of BJP Legislature Party in Delhi! I am confident that under the guidance of the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, your leadership will take the progress of Delhi to new heights and the all -round and all -round development of Delhi will be ensured.

Who is Rekha Gupta, who got the CM post of Delhi

Rekha Gupta won the election from Shalimar Bagh for the first time on BJP ticket in Delhi assembly elections. His political journey started with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. Rekha Gupta is a LLB pass and was born in 1974 in Nandgarh village of Julana in Jind district.
In 1976, the whole family shifted to Delhi due to his father’s job. Rekha Gupta wrote his entire education in Delhi. Rekha Gupta has also been the secretary and head of Delhi University. Rekha Gupta’s husband’s name is Manish Gupta. Manish Gupta is a spare part businessman by profession. He always supported his wife in politics. Rekha Gupta has told in her election affidavit that her husband is associated with insurance business and has a business called Nikunj Enterprise. CM Rekha Gupta of Delhi has two children. The elder daughter’s name is Harshita and the younger son’s name is Nikunj. Like the father, the son is moving in business, while son Nikunj Gupta is still studying.

Delhi gets Chief Minister on 11th day

Significantly, on the 11th day of the results of the assembly elections held in Delhi, BJP has decided the name Rekha Gupta for the post of Chief Minister. In the meeting of the BJP Legislature Party on Wednesday, Rekha Gupta has been unanimously elected as the leader of the legislative party, which was proposed by BJP MLAs Vijendra Gupta, Pravesh Verma and Satish Upadhyay. Rekha Gupta will be the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi. She will take oath as CM on Thursday.
