
Rajalingamurthy (47), who filed a case against KCR blaming him for the collapse of Medigadda barrage has been murdered by unknown people.
Murthy had lodged a complaint with the Bhupalapalli police seeking an FIR against KCR, Harish Rao and others.

Murthy, a social activist, had filed a case against KCR and former irrigation minister T Harish Rao accusing them of irregularities in the construction of Medigadda barrage under the Kaleswaram lift irrigation scheme.
The Telangana CMO has enquired after the murder case. It has sought details from the surveillance bodies. As per Revanth Reddy’s directions, the CMO has collected information.

According to family members of Rajalingamurthy, he had gone to his brother’s place from his village in Jangeru Sivaru Pakeerugadda on a two wheeler.
When he was returning to Bhupalapalli, five to six people wearing monkey caps attacked him with knives and axes. The locals took him to the nearby government hospital, but Murthy was pronounced dead.

The miscreants followed Murthy in an auto and slayed him. The whistle blower was killed at a place where there were no CCTV cameras.
Murthy had filed many cases on land grabbing in the city. When the court ordered for a hearing in the criminal case on KCR, he went to HC and got stay. The HC was supposed to say if cases on KCR and Harish Rao were appropriate or not, on Thursday.
Murthy had suffered severe injuries on his head and stomach. He was killed a day before the case was to be heard in the High Court. The family has doubts on local ex MLA Gandra Venkataramana Reddy.
In fact, Murthy was a BRS member and his wife was a BRS councilor. When Gandra joined BRS, Murthy turned against BRS.
A case has been filed and an investigation is on.
