Director Vijay Kanakamedala is highly impressed with Manchu Manoj’s performance in the upcoming action thriller Bhairavam. “He’s making a powerful comeback,” Vijay asserts. “Manoj delivers a riveting performance, seamlessly balancing both intensity and emotion.”
Bhairavam is the Telugu remake of the Tamil blockbuster Garudanwhich follows the journey of three friends—Suri, Sasikumar, and Unni Mukundan. Manoj steps into the role originally portrayed by Malayalam star Unni Mukundan, renowned for his performance in Marco. “We’ve made certain changes to the script and characters to give it a fresh appeal,” Vijay reveals. “Since we’re catering to a global Telugu audience, we’ve introduced positive tweaks, turning it into an emotional saga of friendship and betrayal.”
After a hiatus from acting, Manoj is making his big-screen return with Bhairavam. “He slipped into the role effortlessly and delivered a stellar performance. A break doesn’t affect true talent, and Manoj has proved that. He’s set to take on more projects soon,” the director affirms.
When asked about Manoj’s ongoing family disputes, Vijay chose to remain neutral. “I’d rather not comment on his personal matters. But as an actor, he’s going to shine once again,” he concludes.
