The three-row SUV segment in India is experiencing exponential growth, with OEMs constantly introducing new offerings to cater the diverse market demand. More new models will join the bandwagon this year, coming from Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, MG and Mahindra. So, if you are planning to buy a 7-seater family SUV, check out the details of these upcoming models.
MG Majestor

MG Majestor, which was displayed at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show in January, is a new full-size SUV from the OEM based on the updated Gloster. However, it will be sportier and more premium than the Gloster. The design and styling of the Majestor share resemblance with the Maxus D90 SUV, which is on sale in select global markets.
Upfront, the SUV features a large, blacked-out grille with horizontal slats, split headlamp setup with slim LED DRLs, a sporty silver bash plate and black cladding running across its front fascia. Other design highlights include the blacked out door handles, wing mirrors, diamond-cut 19-inch alloy wheels, dual exhaust pipes, and wraparound connected taillamps.
Interior of MG Majestor is yet to be revealed. Though, this family SUV is likely to offer all goodies available on the Gloster. Under the hood, the SUV features the same 216bhp, 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engine.
Maruti Grand Vitara 7-Seater

The Indo-Japanese automaker has stated testing the 7-seater Maruti Grand Vitara SUV. Spy images reveal that it will feature a newly-designed front grille, new headlamp clusters, revised front and rear bumpers, roof rails and shark fin antenna. The 7-seater Grand Vitara will surely be longer than its younger sibling, but sit on the same wheelbase. Most features will be carried forward from its 5-seater version. However, the carmaker might offer some extra goodies to enhance its premium value.
The powertrain setup of the Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater will include the same 1.5L K15C petrol mild hybrid and 1.5L Atkinson strong hybrid setup. There will be three gearboxes on offer – a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed torque convertor and an e-CVT.
Toyota Hyryder 7-Seater

Similar to Maruti Suzuki, Toyota Kirloskar Motor will introduce the three-row version of the Hyryder. It will essentially be the re-badged 7-seater Maruti Grand Vitara. However, this SUV from Toyota will have slightly different styling, in-line with Toyota’s design language. The cabin features of the new Toyota Hyryder 7-seater SUV will exactly similar to its 5-seater sibling, while the layout will be different with an extra row of seat.
This family SUV from Toyota is most likely to be offered with the 1.5L K15C petrol mild hybrid and 1.5L, 3-cylinder Atkinson cycle powertrain options. The former will come with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox, while the latter will get an e-CVT transmission.
Mahindra Xev 7e

The upcoming Mahindra XEV 7e will be the electric version of the XUV700, which is expected to arrive towards the end of this year. We have already seen its leaked imagesrevealing interesting design details. This electric SUV will borrow some styling bits from the Mahindra XEV 9e including the inverted L-shaped connected LED DRLs, split headlamp setup and blacked-out grille. It will be equipped with the aero-optimized alloy wheels.
The Mahindra XEV 7e will come with the Black and White cabin theme and feature a triple screen setup. Similar to other born-electric Mahindra SUVs, it will be packed with new-age features including Level 2 ADAS, VisionX HUD, 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, etc. This new Mahindra electric SUV is likely to share its powertrains with the XEV 9e.
