Visakhapatnam: Construction of the South Coast Railway (SCoR) headquarters near the Arilova area of Visakhapatnam is progressing rapidly. Officials have confirmed that the detailed project report (DPR) for the G+12-story office building complex, covering an area of 4 acres, has been completed.
Madhava Verma, the soil test coordinator for the construction company, emphasised that the foundation for the five planned buildings will be based on the soil test report.
The ambitious project includes the construction of the SCoR headquarters, a hospital, and a staff residential complex, all of which are slated for completion within the next year and a half.
Local BJP leaders visited the site to oversee the ongoing soil testing process. Visakhapatnam District BJP President Parasurama Raju also inspected the soil test work.
He highlighted that the people of North Andhra have long waited for establishment of a railway zone cantred in Visakhapatnam.
