Hyderabad: GHMC Joint Commissioner Janakiram was allegedly caught red-handed by his wife when he was spending time privately with another woman.
Janakiram and the woman were reportedly beaten up by their relatives. Upon learning of the matter, the Warasiguda police reached the spot and rescued them and shifted to the police station.
Investigation is underway.
Janakiram, who is working as a Joint Commissioner in the Admin department of GHMC, has been reportedly staying away from home for some time now, saying that he is on duty.
In addition, his wife became suspicious when he started talking excessively over the phone for the past some time.
His wife who kept an eye on her husband allegedly found that Janakiram was moving closely with a woman who was 20 years younger than her in an apartment in Warisiguda.
She went to the apartment with her relatives on Friday morning, caught the two red-handed.
She alleged that Janakiram also was maintaining extramarital affairs with the women in the office where he worked.
She said that she had caught them several times in the past.
