Mahindra Scorpio N Black Edition: Design & Interior

As the name indicates, the ‘Black Edition’, this special edition comes painted in two black shades – Stealth Black and Midnight Black. The model has glossy black treatment all over the body including the front grille and bumper, side moulding, alloy wheels, roof rails, door handles and window trim. The sporty black detailing continues inside the cabin as well. The Scorpio N Black Edition will have all black dashboard, seat upholstery, inner doors and roof.

Mahindra Scorpio N Black Edition: Features

This special edition of the SUV is mostly likely to be based on the top-end Z8 L trim. This means it will provide all goodies available on the SUV model lineup including a wireless charging, 12 speaker Sony sound system, powered front seats, front parking sensors, dual zone climate control, push button start, 4WD terrain management system, leatherette interior, sunroof, connected car tech, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, drive modes, infotainment with Amazon Alexa, 7-inch MID and more.

Mahindra Scorpio N Black Edition: Engine & Gearbox Options

No mechanical changes will be made. The special edition of the Mahindra Scorpio N will feature the same 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L mHawk diesel engines, producing power worth 203bhp with 370Nm and 130bhp with 300Nm, respectively. The transmissions options will also remain unchanged – a 6-speed manual, 6-speed torque convertor automatic. All petrol variants are available with the 2WD setup, while the diesel-manual variants come with the optional 4WD system with terrain modes.

The Mahindra Scorpio N is the top-selling SUV from the indigenous automaker, with an average monthly sale of 9,773 units. Currently, the SUV lineup is available in 34 variants, priced from Rs 13.99 lakh – Rs 24.69 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
