In a recent interview, he shared his views on the importance of an actor’s social media presence.

Citing examples of Salman Khan and Urvashi Rautela, he emphasize how the trailer of the film pulls the audience to the halls and not the number of social media followers.
Jaaved Jaaferi said that he disagrees with the notion that social media followers make an individual a star. Sure the number of followers acts as a stepping stone for actors to get noticed, but their number of followers doesn’t always convert into ticket sales.

Taking the example of Urvashi Rautela, he pointed out how she has more than 70 million followers. But her followers don’t translate into ticket sales.
The Oops Ab Kya actor explained how a Salman Khan film can get a Rs 10–5 crore opening or a Rs 50 crore opening. All his films aren’t getting Rs 50 crore opening.

What matters most is the trailer. If it attracts enough audience, only then will it convert into ticket sales.
He pointed out that a film’s promotion doesn’t guarantee its success. It is mostly dependent on the trailer. If that is engaging enough, only then will the audience come to watch the film.
If the trailer of the film is strong and interesting enough, people will go watch the film despite actors promoting it heavily, said Javed.
