Vijayawada: Around 3,737 kg of ganja and 4.22 kg of liquid ganja seized in 183 cases within four sub-divisions of Krishna district were destroyed in Palnadu district at a private urban management company in the presence of DGP Harish Kumar Gupta on Saturday. The DGP reaffirmed govt’s commitment to eliminating ganja trade. He said that a specialised unit called the ‘eagle organisation’, has been established to monitor and dismantle ganja smuggling networks. Police are not only targeting individuals involved in the drug transportation but are also initiating legal proceedings to seize their assets.TNN
