Kohli’s unbeaten 100, his 51st ODI century, was the difference between the two teams.

Kuldeep Yadav’s 3/40 kept Pakistan to 241 which looked below par on a batting friendly pitch.
India lost early wickets but Kohli’s calm innings stabilised the chase.

He got support from Shreyas Iyer who scored 56. Together they took the team home with 7.3 overs to spare.
Kohli’s century not only won the match for India but also got him into the 14,000 ODI run club, only the third player to do so.
This win further bolsters India’s chances in the tournament and puts them in good position for a semi final berth.
For Pakistan, the loss has put them in a tough spot and now they will have to hope for other results to go their way.
The team’s inconsistency and not being able to cash in on opportunities has been the reason for their downfall.
