Vijayawada: A private bus overturned near Sullurupeta in Tirupati district on Monday morning, leaving 17 passengers injured. The accident occurred when the driver of the bus, travelling from Pondicherry to Vijayawada, lost control due to overspeeding. According to information, the bus was carrying 24 passengers at the time of the accident. Some motorists, who were passing through, alerted the police and emergency services. Local authorities and 108 ambulance staff rushed to the scene and shifted the injured passengers to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police initiated a probe into the accident.
