4.5mm thin Galaxy Z Fold 7 breaks cover in leaked renders!

We have been hearing about Samsung’s next book-style foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, from even before the brand launched the current models, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. However, none of the leaks revealed how it looks. Well, that’s changing today. We finally have renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Android Headlines in collaboration with OnLeaks has revealed renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, revealing its design from all sides. As you can see in the images above and below, the upcoming phone has the same design philosophy as the current models. However, that’s where the similarities end as it offers a lot of improvements.

Larger outer and inner displays

According to the publication, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will have a 6.5-inch outer display and an 8.2-inch inner display, making them larger not only than those on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold SE but also the largest inner display on any foldable phone. That’s just the tip of the iceberg though.

Much thinner than current models

The leaks claim that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be only 4.5mm thick when opened and 9.5mm when folded, making it much thinner than the brand’s current models and putting it in the same league as the thinnest foldable phones on the market, which includes the Oppo Find N5 and Honor Magic V3.

Outer display could be wider

The phone measures 158.4 x 143.1 x 4.5mm. Considering that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be wider than the Galaxy Z Fold SE, it may have a wider screen than the current model. However, there’s still no information on the aspect ratio. Unfortunately, we still don’t have any information on the colors Samsung will launch it in.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 leaked specifications

One of the main complaints people have about foldable phones is the crease on their display. Well, Samsung will improve that aspect with the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Reportedly, the crease on its display will be almost invisible.

The upcoming phone is expected to use a cut-down version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite that we see in the Galaxy S25 series. The phone will most likely ship with Android 15-based One UI 7.

Sadly, it may feature the same 4,400mAh battery as the current models, making it the smallest among the ones offered by the rivals. That being said, let’s not forget that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 lasts longer than most of its rivals that have a larger battery pack, thanks to Samsung’s customization. That coupled with more efficient components on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 should make it last even more.
