Elaborate arrangements made for Maha Shivaratri Bhramotsavams at Telangana’s Alampur


Jogulamba Gadwal: Elaborate arrangements are being made for the Maha Shivaratri Bhramotsavams at the Jogulamba Bala Brahmeswara Swamy Alampur temple, which is also known as Dakshin Kashi.

The Maha Shivratri Brahmotsavams will commence at 8 am on Tuesday and will conclude on March 1. On Tuesday, there would be Gomatha pujas, Ganapathi pujas and other rituals.


On Wednesday, the Maha Shivaratri festival, Rudrabhishekham would be performed from 5 am till 1 pm in the midnight. In the early hours on Thursday, the celestial wedding of Jogulamba and Bala Brahmeswara Swamy would be performed. In the evening, there would be Rathotsavam of the Lord on Nandi Vahanam.

On Friday, there would be Rathotsavam and March 1, Dwaja Avarohana and other rituals would be performed.

The temple management is expecting about 30,000 to 50,000 devotees, including those from Raichur, Andhra Pradesh and other places during the festivities.

Accordingly, separate queue lines are being arranged and about 20,000 laddus prasadams are being prepared for the convenience of devotees.
