Hyderabad: All India Mahila Congress (AIMC) president Alka Lamba on Monday demanded that the central govt implement women’s reservation in state assemblies and parliament, and take all measures for the safety and protection of women in the country.
Stating that prayers of the Mahila Congress were with the families and the eight workers trapped in the SLBC tunnel, she told a media conference at Gandhi Bhavan that women’s welfare is possible only with the Congress govt, and the Revanth Reddy govt has taken a lead on this front.
“Mahila Congress is preparing to appoint three women in every polling booth in Telangana. On International Women’s Day on March 8, Priyanka Gandhi will felicitate several women from various parts of the country, including Telangana, in New Delhi,” she said.
