Usha Sri Peddishetty of Visakhapatnam has emerged victorious in all three categories—Singles, Mixed Doubles, and Women’s Doubles—securing the Triple Crown at the Andhra Pradesh State Masters Badminton Championship held at Vijayawada Club Stadium in Vijayawada on Monday evening.
Ms. Usha Sri displayed an outstanding performance in the women’s Singles, Mixed Doubles, and Women’s Doubles. She claimed the Women’s Singles 50+ title by defeating Indrani of Vijayawada. In the Mixed Doubles 50+ category, she partnered with B.V.S.K. Lingeswara Rao to yet another victory. In Women’s Doubles, she teamed up with Padma from Vijayawada and secured the title, marking a moment of pride and achievement, according to a statement issued here on Tuesday.
Ms. Usha Sri is also making her mark in politics as the corporator of the 43rd Ward in the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC).
As a former representative of India in badminton, she is once again preparing to bring home prestigious medals on the national stage. With her skilled training, rigorous practice and invaluable experience, she is set to reach even greater heights, the release added.
