Hyderabad: Endowment minister Konda Surekha on Tuesday asked officials to make fool-proof arrangements in all prominent Shaivite temples to ensure devotees do not face any inconvenience as they are expected to turn up in large numbers on Maha Shivaratri and the following day.
In a virtual meeting, Surekha asked officials to make arrangements as per traditions for Rudrabhishekam, Samuhika Bilwarchana, Rudra Homam and other rituals.
Besides focusing on queue line management, Surekha asked officials to ensure drinking water facility, traffic coordination, uninterrupted power supply, parking facility and lighting arrangements around the temples.
A control room has been set up at the Hyderabad commissionerate to coordinate with temples for Shivaratri festivities.
She asked the officials to coordinate with the district collectors and other officials and call her if needed.
Konda enquired about the arrangements at major Shaivite temples including Vemulawada Rajanna Temple, Kaleshwara-Mukteswara temple at Kaleshwaram, Keesara Ramalingeswara Swamy temple, Edupayala Vana-Durga Bhavani temple, Ramappa temple, Mellacheruvu Swayambhu Sambhulingeswara Swamy temple, Mallela Theertham, Chaya Someswara temple of Panagallu, Someshwara temple of Palakurthi, Thousand Pillar temple, Mettu Gutta temple, Kasibugga temple, Bhadrakali temple, among others.
