What makes Brembo, different and better than OEM brakes is their heat dissipation/cooling capability especially during sustained braking and accelerating scenarios.

My experience with the Jimny in the last 16 months of ownership has been very good barring some niggles with some areas that need aftermarket improvement – braking being one of them.
There was also many reported instances of a steering wobble in Jimny’s that had crossed mileages of 10K Kms, this happens while braking between speeds of 60 Kmph and 80 Kmph. Did not want any of this so thought that replacing the brakes pads and the rotors would be a permanent fix. Am not so sure of the quality of both the MSIL brake pads and rotors as well because of this very reason.
Shortlisted some brake pads and technically was not sure if they would fit or not. Did some more digging in and decided that maybe upgrading the entire set from Brembo – i.e., Front Brake Pads with Rotors and the Rear Brake Shoes would be a better idea instead on doing this piecemeal.
This is basically more of an OE upgrade rather than a huge performance upgrade but does give a performance and braking boost.

Brembo systems are engineered to handle higher temperatures, which is crucial during intense driving situations, such as off-roading or spirited driving on winding roads. The ability to manage heat effectively means that Brembo brakes are less likely to experience brake fade, a common issue with standard OE brakes in the Jimny under heavy use. Brembo brake pads are made from tailor made advanced materials and engineering thus technically making them in my opinion much better than the OE ones provided. Longevity in the Brembo Rotors, Brake Pads and Rear Shoes will be much more as well compared to OE.

Jimny abroad comes with the brakes shoes without a metal plate riveted on which is there in the 5 Door made in India Jimny – a comparative with the Indian Brake Shoes and the ones abroad:
Installation : Straightforward replacement of the brakes and rotors. Got the upgraded kingpin that addresses the wobbling issue also installed. 
The Upgraded kingpin:The steering wheel now feels lighter with the upgraded king pin installed.
The upgraded experience: Brembo’s are excellent. Compared to the earlier braking experience where the braking was sub par the brakes now feel extremely linear and stops a lot faster. Cannot quantify as have not done a brake test with the OE pads and discs and shoes installed. Overall a worthy upgrade.
