In the 2014 polls, this constituency voted in Phase 2 on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 and the results were declared on Friday, May 16, 2014.

In 2014, S V Mohan Reddy of YSRCP emerged victorious in this seat beating T G Venkatesh of TDP by a margin of 3479 votes which was 2.41% of the total votes polled in the constituency. YSRCP secured a vote share of 40.18% in the seat.

In the 2009 state Assembly elections, T G Venkatesh of INC won this seat beating Abdul Gafoor M of CPM by a margin of 44067 votes which was 39.44% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 61.28% in the seat.
