After the Ranveer Allahbadia controversy made waves, Tanmay Bhat decided to share his thoughts in a cheeky way in a new YouTube reaction video. In the clip, the comedian revealed that he had actually invited Ranveer to join him for a fitness meme reaction video before the drama unfolded. However, since then, Ranveer has gone silent and hasn’t replied to his messages.
The video features other stand-up stars like Rohan Joshi, Kaustubh Agarwal, Piyush Sharma, Kushagra Srivastava, and Ravi Gupta. Interestingly, Rohan, Kaustubh, and Ravi had previously appeared on Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent. Tanmay kicks off his video by reading a comment from a viewer, setting the stage for his commentary.
The comment read, “Would you rather keep doing reaction episodes or bring Ranveer once and end it?” The remark was a dig at Ranveer Allahbadia’s comment on India’s Got Latent what sparked the controversy. Ranveer had asked a contestant on Samay Raina‘s show India’s Got Latent, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?”
During the video, Tanmay Bhat discussed his earlier interaction with Ranveer Allahbadia. He said that just two weeks before the controversy, he had texted Ranveer to join him for a reaction video about fitness memes. He jokingly said, “Sun na, aake fitness memes pe react karte hai. Reply nahin kar raha hai ajkal. Pata nahi kya chal raha hai uske saath.” This left everyone in the panel in splits.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Allahbadia was questioned by Maharashtra Cyber officials on Monday for nearly two hours over the crass parental sex joke he made on comedian Samay Raina’s ‘India’s Got Latent’ show. As reported by NDTV, Allahbadia admitted his mistake during the questioning before the investigating officer and said that he had gone to the show because Samay Raina was his friend.
