The bike has been serving me well in city and highway rides but I can say that its the most happiest at curves rather than straights.

Time flies , its already a year since I visited a TVS showroom for replacing a Scooty with a Jupiter but walked out with a RTR 310 instead.
My beauty in all its resplendent glory :
Throttle patriotism
1 year and 7144 KM later the paint and sheen have slightly faded but the smile that it brings on my face each time I ride it, has not faded one bit. The bike has been serving me well in city and highway rides but I can say that its the most happiest at curves rather than straights. Since the last trip to Melkote with the lads, the bike has been seeing only trips to office and back with the rare midnight ride across the city scape ( IM BATMAN!!). However that routine changed as a group ride was organized by the AOG Bengaluru for Republic day. A good respite from the daily drudgery I happily joined the 35 Ronin and 310’s for a ride till Vatadosahalli lake (Bhpian venkat_partha has mentioned that a TBHP meetup happened years back). The Satellite township ring road(STRR- currently 70 km is ready from Dabbaspet to Hoskote) is a blessing for me and my favourite riding area as the greenery on both sides, excellent road condition coupled with sparse traffic means I can take the bike to its limit (with respect to my weight, more on that later). The flag off was at mekhri circle at 7am and the breakfast point was at Devanahalli next to the STRR Devanahalli exit, I left my place at 830 in east Bangalore and zoomed to the breakfast point on the beautiful road. The gods had indeed blessed this day with abundant sunshine, minimal cross winds and fantastic visibility. This meant Appucha was sitting planted at 9k rpm on 6th gear for the entirety of the 35km on the STRR which was covered in less than an average YouTube video length. I reached the location by 920 and meetup with everyone and regrouped.
Post some tasty masala dose and Kesari bath, we finally started the ride. The journey to the exit on NH44 was rather uneventful as its a rather straight and busy road with subpar road quality. For the sake of safety please drive at 60-70 in this terrible stretch of road. We exited the highway at Beechaganahally cross and switched to the state highway roads. This is where the fun began. While the highway was a straight road with arid land and small buildings on both sides , the SH is covered with boulevard of trees and meanders across the terrain. This means one can give in to the temptation and ENJOY THE CURVES!!! Letting most of the group go ahead (there was a 5 min time difference between me and the RR group and 2 min difference between me and the ronin), I fell back to the last position and enjoyed the road and tried my best to lean into the curves. Compared to last year, I can see a miniscule improvement as it no longer scares me to slightly lean but seasoned riders will point out that leaning 5cm may not exactly count as a lean . Well one can keep on trying safely till their limits and learn slowly at their own pace, after all my only comparison is against me and no one else. Unfortunately someone on the road had a case of target fixation and safely parked their two wheeler into a bush instead of turning right and so we had to slow down. That aside, the location is fantastic and quite. The small hill in the backdrop of the lake is a very good point to take sunset photos it seems. Post the usual photo sessions , we split and rode back home.
