
So far the comments made by Infosys and L&T heads had created distress among techies as they promoted long work hours and with one of them promoting working on weekends.
Amidst such scenario, the latest post by Capgemini CEO Ashwin Yardi has come as a whiff of fresh air to techies. The CEO wrote on his X handle – “I prefer 9 hours a day and 5 days a week work (47.5 hrs), and was against sending e-mails to employees on weekends.”

Post COVID, there has been a huge shift in the way tech companies are functioning and there has been a psychological impact on software employees. Today, the techies prefer shorter work hours and demand work-life balance. Hybrid model is the buzz word in techie circles and work less, be more productive is their mantra.
While the tech giants are contemplating getting back to old format, the software employees are pushing forth work hard, play hard, but within limited hours.
