Hyderabad: A man, who was involved in several theft cases including a pair of shoes of a doctor at a private hospital in the city, was arrested by the Punjagutta police.
The suspect Mahesh Kumar (35), a native of Suryapet district, was earlier involved in theft and burglaries cases. He was also arrested and jailed in some cases.
As per available information, Mahesh’s family members had warned him to change his behaviour, but as he continued his criminal activities, he was sent out from the house by them.
Eventually, he moved to the city and stayed at pavements, bus stops and hospital premises and committed offences. For the past some days, he has been staying put at a private hospital in Somajiguda. Recently, he stole the shoes of a doctor working in the hospital.
Based on the complaint from the Security Officer of the hospital, the Punjagutta police booked a case and took up investigation. On examining the CCTV footage from the crime spot and hospital surroundings, the police found Mahesh fleeing with the footwear.
He was identified, traced and arrested. The shoes were recovered and he was remanded in judicial custody.
