
With the rise of her popularity all over India, controversies around Rashmika Mandanna have also started building up. Recently, many criticised her South Indian accent in Chhaava, while some questioned her ethnic background when she claimed she is from Hyderabad and not Karnataka.
From Pushpa 2 to Chhaava her films have been back to back blockbusters. She has always maintained that she was from Telugu film industry and kept a distance from her Kannada roots.

But now fans feel that she has even distanced herself from the Telugu film world. Other than Vijay Devarakonda’s next with director Rahul Sankrityan she doesn’t have any Telugu movie in her line up.
She seems most excited about Sikandar which is a Hindi language film with Salman Khan. Fans can’t help but ask if Rashmika is trying to maintain a distance from her Telugu legacy as well.

Many felt sad that just because she has found fame in North she is giving up on her South Indian lineage that brought her success in the first place. However, it’s too soon to jump to any conclusions but only hearing Rashmika’s own views will bring some clarity to the matter.
