2025 Tata Altroz Facelift – Expected Changes & Launch Details

Tata Altroz is a premium hatchback offering from the indigenous automaker, which was first introduced in early 2020. Aiming to expand the model lineup, the carmaker rolled out its DCT variants in 2022, iCNG version in 2023 and the performance-oriented Racer in 2024. As the hatchback completes five successful years, it’s time to give it a major midlife update. The 2025 Tata Altroz facelift was recently spotted testing on the Indian roads. However, the test mule was heavily camouflaged, concealing design changes.

Minor Design Changes:

If you look closely, the spy images show a revised front bumper. The updated unit has a vertical crease placed below the fog lamp housing. The taillamps and indicators will get LED elements. The 2025 Tata Altroz facelift might also receive some noticeable changes at the front end.

New Features:

The spy images also give a glimpse of its interior, confirming the presence of a large infotainment system. The updated version might also come with the new seat upholstery and door trims. The top variants of the Altroz facelift could be offered with the ventilated front seats, which is currently exclusive for the Altroz Racer. The cabin layout and features will remain intact.

Same Engine-Gearbox Combos:

Under the hood, the new Tata Altroz is likely to feature the existing engines – 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel. While the gasoline unit delivers a maximum power of 86bhp and 113Nm of torque, the diesel motor offers 90bhp and 200Nm. Both manual and DCT gearboxes are on offer.

The CNG fuel option will also continue after the update. The Altroz CNG comes with a 1.2L petrol engine paired to a factory-fitted CNG kit. This setup delivers a maximum power of 88bhp and 115Nm of torque.
