The Muslim population across the globe could be observing the auspicious Ramzan season either from March 1 or 2 based on the formation of the crescent moon. With Ramzan comes the famous Haleem season, which is loved by all religion people, mainly in Hyderabad.
However, just before the start of the Haleem season, a detrimental news is breaking out for the non-vegetarian population in Hyderabad.
According to media reports, the leading Haleem outlets across the city could be hiking the prices of standard Haleem by 10 to 20% this time.
4 Seasons, one of the leading outlets for Haleem in Hyderabad has communicated that they’re hiking the standard price of Rs 340 for 500 grams of Haleem to Rs 380 this year.
If other leading eateries like Pista House, Cafe 555, Shah Ghouse, and others follow the same formula, then we can expect Haleem prices across the city to be spiked up substantially. This is not non-vegetarians would have loved to hear right before the Haleem season.
It is reported that the prices of mutton meat and spices has gone up by 25% when compared to last year and this has substantiated the proportional price hike now.
Another reason that could contribute to hike in mutton Haleem this year could be the fact that the larger section of the non-vegetarian population would prefer mutton Haleem this year due to the ongoing fear about world flu amongst chicken. Also, the Haleem sellers across the city are cautious about selling chicken Haleem due to the growing concerns about bird flu.
