TPCC spokesperson Changani Daykar said that Union Minister Bandi Sanjay and BJP MP from Malkajgiri Eatala Rajender must ensure the implementation of 42% reservation for Backward Classes (BC) with the cooperation of the Centre.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday, he said, “The Telangana government conducted a BC census and decided to implement 42% reservation for BCs. A resolution will be passed in the Assembly soon, demanding that the Centre take steps to implement the 42% reservations. We request that the resolution be introduced and discussed in Parliament for the benefit of the BC community people.“
The laws state that if the Central government assists in the BC census and gets the President’s approval, 42% reservation can be given.” If the Central government does not implement the Telangana government’s resolution, BJP MPs should be held responsible,” he said.
He warned that if the BJP prevented the implementation of 42% reservation in Telangana, it risks becoming a traitor to the BCs in the State. “Under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, efforts will be made to implement social justice in Telangana.”
