Kishan Reddy refutes Revanth’s allegations, says Centre does not need his certificate

BJP Telangana Unit president and Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy, has refuted the allegations of Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, accusing him of making false allegations against him and the BJP.

Speaking at a press conference here on Saturday, Mr. Reddy denied allegations that he was blocking projects meant for the State, saying that the Telangana government had failed to cooperate with the Central government in implementing various schemes.

It may be recalled here that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had reiterated his allegations that Mr. Kishan Reddy was blocking permission for all the projects in Telangana to please his ‘secret friend’ and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Responding to these allegations, Mr. Kishan Reddy criticised the CM for his ‘irresponsible’ statements, saying that the latter was trying to divert attention from his own government’s failures. “The State government has indeed failed to cooperate with the Central government in implementing various schemes like crop insurance and Ayushman Bharat,” he claimed.

Mr. Kishan Reddy also highlighted the Central government’s achievements in implementing various schemes in Telangana, despite the State government’s lack of cooperation. He accused the CM of ignoring his responsibilities and talking nonsense about various issues.

The Union Minister demanded that the State government provide details of the funds allocated for various projects and questioned the CM’s claims about the Central government blocking projects.

Mr. Kishan Reddy accused the Congress of failing to implement its promises, including six guarantees and 320 sub-guarantees, within 100 days.

Referring to the Central government’s support to the State, the BJP state chief said that the Regional Ring Road project had already been sanctioned and that the State government had allocated ₹100 crore for the project. Mr. Reddy also added that the metro alignment had been changed and that the State government had increased the cost to ₹317 crore per kilometre.

He also said that the Central government led by NDA does not require Mr. Revanth Reddy’s certificate to sanction projects and that the people’s certificate is more important.
