After Jawan, sensational director Atlee planned his sixth film on a whopping budget of Rs. 600 crores with Bollywood Megastar Salman Khan. However, Atlee’s project with Salman Khan is not happening anymore. A few reports stated that producers didn’t dare invest such a huge amount in Salman’s film, given the actor’s bad phase. Now, Atlee has shifted focus to his movie with Allu Arjun.
According to a recent report in Peeping Moon, Salman’s story has now landed in Allu Arjun’s hands. “For Salman Khan’s film, Atlee designed a mega-budget period action saga with a reincarnation theme. The project will have another protagonist, too, making it a multi-starrer. Sun Pictures was supposed to bankroll this flick, but they hesitated to invest, considering Salman’s recent flops. Now Atlee is doing the same story with Allu Arjun,” stated the report.
Going by the report, the mega spectacle will feature three heroines, and Janhvi Kapoor is the frontrunner for one of the female leads. Allu Arjun prioritized Atlee over Trivikram, and the big-ticket entertainer is expected to go on floors later this year. Sun Pictures is now showing interest in the project since it will be spearheaded by Icon Star.
The decision about the second hero has yet to be finalized. During the initial stages, Atlee wanted to make this period saga with Salman Khan and Superstar Rajinikanth. The big-scale actioner is said to offer breathtaking visuals and unparalleled entertainment, surpassing anything seen in Atlee’s previous works. Pre-production is now happening, and an official announcement will be made soon
