Vijayawada: Days after eight files related to the legal section were allegedly not found at the legal section of the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam in Vijayawada, the temple authorities traced two files on Sunday.
Notably, the issue concerning the missing of about eight key files from the legal section came to light when Durga Temple EO and endowments department commissioner K Ramachandra Mohan reportedly asked officials for service files from the legal section recently.
Speaking to TOI, Durga Temple legal eing senior assistant G Yaswant said, “We are conducting searches to trace the eight files which are believed to be misplaced by our predecessors during the parting of establishment and legal sections into separate chambers that earlier used to house in a single place.”
“There were around 224 files concerning the legal section placed in nearly six cupboards. The files must be misplaced and they will be traced in a day or two,” Yaswant said and added that the search operation is underway to trace the remaining six misplaced files.
