The Indian automobile market will soon get the most affordable sports car from JSW MG Motor India. Called the MG Cyberster, the electric sports car made its public debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show in January. It will be the first model to be retailed through MG Select premium dealership network, followed by the MIFA 9 LUXURY MPV. Prices of the Cyberster will be announced in coming days. Being a fully imported unit, it is expected to be priced nearly Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom).
Battery, Range, Power:
Starting with the powertrain, the MG Cyberster uses a 77kWh battery pack and two oil-cooled electric motors fitted on each axle. This setup offers a whooping power of 510bhp (375kW) and a massive 725Nm of torque. MG claims that it can do 0 to 100kmph in just 3.2 seconds, making it one of the fastest electric sports cars in its category. This EV offers a maximum range of 580km on a full charge (CLTC cycle). It comes with an AWD (all-wheel drive) system.
Performance Enhancing Features:
MG has equipped the Cyberster with a double wishbone at the front and a five-link independent suspension at the rear. This system, fine0tuned by F1 legend Marco Failnello, enhances its handling by offering a strong control of the wheel’s motion, improving grip and responsiveness during cornering. The EV has a 50:50 front-to-rear weight distribution, aiding to its stability at high speeds. The aerodynamic design elements, inspired by the classic MG B Roadster of the 1960s, such as the sculpted bodywork and a low-slung profile further enhance its overall performance.
Interior & Features:
The MG Cyberster has dual-tone Black & Red and Grey & White interior themes with Nappa leather and Alcantara seat upholstery options. Some of its key features include –
