I also used an extremely metallic shade of black from Alfa Romeo to paint the front fender.

BHPian SunnyBoi recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

So, the paint process began. The color I chose was the orange shade from the Lamborghini Murcielago SV – as shown on Top Gear years ago. The shade is called Arancio Borealis, it’s a two stage paint with a base and pearl coat, after which clear goes on. Some pictures of the parts while painting:

The color that came out was EXCELLENT. Here’s a short video.

I then put the tank cover and headlight cover thingies on. I had this nagging feeling that it was perhaps not that orange?

Then I got this unexpected surprise for a month.

Took this chance to decommission Daisy and get the alloys painted. I hated the black wheels from day one and wanted a different shade of Orange on them.

Went for Lamborghini’s Arancio Xanto from the Huracan.

Tyres fitted back and balanced. Painted the old rotors just to freshen them up.

Took this chance to swap out the stock 280mm to a new 300mm rotor from the 390. New spacers and bolts purchased from KTM showroom. The difference in length of 200 vs 390 bolts is obvious.

Daisy is back on the road again. At this point I still hadn’t put on the Arancio Borealis Tank.

I was so impressed by Arancio Xanto, I bought another new tank panel. Painted rest of the bike panels with Arancio Xanto. Here’s how the tank looked.

The front fenders were never painted. I kept waiting for a 2017+ front fender, but never came in stock. Ended up painting old ones in an extremely metallic shade of black from Alfa Romeo.

But then, disaster struck. I was riding on a lesser known road and I ran over a sharp stone. I could instantly feel something was off and the rear tyre deflated almost instantly.

The cut was so bad, it was impossible to inflate it, let alone attempt a puncture patch. Ended up loading the bike in our van and sending it to my workplace. Ironically, this is the only picture of Daisy with the Arancio Borealis Tank.

Spoke with a Tyre Centre and decided to get a pair of new tyres. I came to know they were OEM tyres for the Aprilia RS457. If it’s good for an Aprilia, they’re certainly overkill for my Daisy.

Took this chance to swap out all the painted panels and make Daisy look one color.

Sent the bike over to the shop at Wilson Garden and they put in new tyres. Went to pickup Daisy on the Crypto bike. Pictured both together. Paintjob on the crypto bike will be covered on its own thread

Soon I had a Meowchanic at work guarding Daisy

She was quick to point out it had been 5 months and more since I kept running distilled water instead of coolant.

More on that, sigh.
