Relief from Scorching Heat in Hyderabad? Coldwave-Like Conditions Expected Soon

Hyderabad and other districts of Telangana are set to experience rising temperatures as summer takes hold, with daytime temperatures in the city expected to reach 38 degrees Celsius today.

While some areas of the state could hit a scorching 40 degrees Celsius, relief is on the horizon with an extreme weather change predicted for later this week.

Sudden Coldwave on the Way

Weather expert Balaji shared on Twitter that despite the current heat, a brief coldwave is expected in northern Telangana due to cold winds from North India.

“Right now, entire Telangana is baking under scorching hot sun, imagine a coldwave now? Yes, you are right, with sudden cold winds coming from North India, a brief intense coldwave ahead in North TG like Adilabad, Asifabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, and Peddapalli on March 6th and 7th morning with 10-12 degree Celsius expected, day temp will be 35-36 degree Celsius . Hyderabad and South TG too will experience good relief from ongoing heat during March 5-7, morning temp will drop up to 14-15 degree Celsius , day temp around 35-36 degree Celsius.

After March 9, again heat rampage will start,” Balaji posted.

Relief for Hyderabad – But Not for Long

Between March 5-7, Hyderabad and southern Telangana will see morning temperatures fall to 14-15 degrees Celsius, offering a welcome break from the heat. However, daytime temperatures will still hover between 35-36 degrees Celsius.

The relief will be short-lived as temperatures are expected to rise again after March 9, bringing back the sweltering heat.

Temperature Records on the Rise

Yesterday, Asifnagar recorded 37 degrees Celsius, the highest temperature in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Jogulamba Gadwal topped the charts across Telangana with a scorching 39.7 degrees Celsius.

As summer intensifies, residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours, and prepare for the upcoming heatwave.
